USING CROSSPOINT
Tour of the app
What every page of the app shows and what you can do there, in the order of the sidebar.
The sidebar
The sidebar lists the pages. Devices shows how many computers you have, and Transfers how many are moving. At the bottom, a status card shows whether the Crosspoint service is running, which computer has control, and whether Cursor Lock or Game Mode is on. If the service stops, a red banner says so and Crosspoint restarts it by itself.
Devices
Computers that share this mouse, keyboard and clipboard.
- This computer: its name, a short fingerprint (its identity for pairing), macOS or Windows with the number of displays, who has control, and the release hotkey.
- Other computers: each one with its status, Connected · N ms, Paired · not reachable or Found nearby. Buttons: Pair, Send files…, send a folder, and the bin icon to forget it.
- Add by IP address for networks that block discovery. The header shows this computer’s own address.
More in Connect two computers.
Layout
Drag computers so their screen edges meet; they snap together. Identify screens shows each screen’s number on every computer. Profiles save and switch arrangements. More in Arrange your screens.
Transfers
Files moving between your computers. Send from here with Choose files… or Folder…, drop files on the window, and follow progress. Each row has Pause, Resume, Cancel or Show in Finder / Show in folder. Clear finished tidies the list. The bottom line shows where received files go. More in Share files.
Keyboard & mouse
Three tabs:
- Keys: the Translate keys and shortcuts switch and your key map, with Record a key and Defaults.
- Shortcuts: built-in rules like ⌘Q to Alt+F4, each with a switch, and Add rule for your own.
- Mouse buttons: on a PC, choose what buttons 3, 4 and 5 do on a Mac.

Cursor skins
Dress the cursor in a skin or an outfit, pick a click effect, and try it all on the stage. The × next to what you wear takes it off. More in Cursor skins.

- Recent events, newest first.
- Details such as the port, addresses, device id, fingerprint and data folder.
- Copy debug report: copies versions, settings, layout, paired computers, recent crash reports and the last 300 log lines, to paste into an email to support. It includes computer names and network addresses, never passwords or clipboard contents.
