Change the cursor

1. Open Cursor skins in the app’s sidebar.
2. Pick a tab: Skins, Outfits or Click effects.
3. Point at a card to try it on the stage at the top, then click it. Your cursor wears it straight away.
4. Move your mouse over the stage and click to see it move. The list beside the stage shows every cursor shape.
5. To take something off, click the × next to it in the “Wearing” bar, or pick Plain or None.

A skin replaces the whole cursor: the arrow, the hand, the text cursor and the rest. An outfit dresses your own cursor, with hats that lean and capes that swing as it moves. You wear one or the other. A click effect goes with either, or with none.

It travels with you

While this computer controls another one, the cursor on the other computer wears this computer’s look. If the other computer runs an older version that doesn’t know the skin, it shows the plain arrow.

Size

There is no separate size setting. The skin follows your system’s pointer size, so make the pointer bigger or smaller in your Mac’s or PC’s accessibility settings and the skin follows within a couple of seconds.

Mac and Windows differences

• Mac: macOS doesn’t let apps replace the system cursor, so Crosspoint hides the real arrow and draws the skin in its place. Clicks still go through to whatever is underneath. If Crosspoint quits, the normal arrow comes straight back.
• Windows: the skin replaces the real arrow. If Crosspoint is force-quit, the skin stays until you start Crosspoint again.
