USING CROSSPOINT
Arrange your screens
The cursor crosses wherever two screens touch. Make the Layout page look like your desk and it goes where you expect.
Line them up
- Open Layout in the app. Every paired computer shows its screens.
- Drag a computer to where it sits on your desk. All its screens move together.
- Let go near another computer and it snaps edge to edge.
Changes apply straight away on every paired computer. There is nothing to save. If you have only one computer so far, Layout says “Nothing to arrange yet” and offers Go to Devices.
Re-order your screens
To change the order, for example to put the PC on the left of the Mac instead of the right, drag the PC’s screens to the other side of the Mac’s. The cursor now leaves the Mac on its left edge.
How the monitors of one computer sit next to each other comes from that computer’s own display settings (System Settings → Displays on a Mac, Settings → System → Display on Windows). Arrange those there, then line the computers up against each other in Crosspoint.
Warnings under the canvas
- “… doesn’t touch any other screen, so the cursor can’t reach it”: drag it until it snaps against another screen.
- “… overlaps another screen”: move it so the two sit side by side.
Screen numbers and Identify screens
Screens are numbered 1 to 9, left to right and then top to bottom. Click Identify screens and every connected computer shows its numbers for 3 seconds. The numbers are also shortcuts: press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+1…9 (on a Mac ⌃⌥⇧+number) to jump the cursor to the middle of that screen.
Profiles
Save layouts you switch between, like a desk setup and a laptop-only one.
- Arrange the screens, then click Save current under Profiles.
- Give it a name, for example Desk, and click Save.
- Click a profile to apply it. The one in use shows ACTIVE.
Hover a profile and click its × to delete it. You can keep up to 20 profiles. They are saved on the computer where you made them.
